These are some of the images we have created for online mobile phone and tablet case retailer, Biz-E-Bee.  We have worked very closely with Biz-E-Bee taking a detailed briefs, sourcing the products to photography and supplying the images digitally.

Here are the interim results from a survey conducted by Eposure which has looked at how photography affects customers attitudes to online shopping.  This is interesting reading for businesses, retailers and commercial photographers alike.

St Valentine’s Day inspired Editorial Photography of a pair of Ladies Red Ballet Shoes on Red and White Polka Spots

This editorial image of ladies red pumps sat on red and white polka spots is inspired by today being St Valentine’s Day.  For this image I choose a very bold red colour theme which is often associated with love, passion and strong emotions.

Still Life Food Photography at Studio Sphere in Nelson, Lancashire

This is an example from Studio Sphere of Creative Studio Still Life Food Photography we can offer.  Here we are looking at coconut mushrooms for which the majority part of this sweet is white and this has been shot on a white background in a white bowl.  This is something we specialize in at the Studio, providing high quality commercial photography.

Remember the proof of concept shoot for the Pendle Imp Festival with Rachel Mason? Well, this is another of the shoots. The original test shoot was nicely paced, quiet and very calm. This was just mayhem!

There were girls everywhere, all in various states of undress, with and without wings, hairdryers, rollers and worst of all, Glitter! The damned stuff got everywhere, and took forever to clean up.

However………………………….

It wasn’t half fun

The image above was developed by the model herself, who wanted a cheeky peep around her wings. So that’s what we went for.

Yet another of our cheeky young imps, although they came in all shapes, sizes and ages too.

But they all had a cheeky personality and they were great to work with.

Fashion photography is seldom so much fun, but this has to have been one our most fun projexct.

This particular shoot was for a number of clients of the Live Ribble Valley magazine. They included Out of the City, Ken Varey, Charles Campbell Bespoke and the restaurant The Sirloin. The day wasn’t particularly the best, from a weather point of view, but none the less, once organised, we had to get something, come what may!

Location work can bring a new dimension to a client’s portfolio, creating fresh interest from their own clients, and therefore increasing sales.

Recent briefs for jewellery photography have included both studio and location shoots across the North West, including Preston, Manchester, Liverpool and Bolton.

We are able to create a very flexible jewellery studio pretty much anywhere on location, negating concerns about security for very high value items.

Watches are a particular passion of mine, I think due to their reflective faces requiring more thought and preparation than most types of jewellery photography.

Studio 4 is a dedicated product studio, particularly suited to fine jewellery photography.

We were contacted by Amreen Kauser, a young lady providing bridal makeup. Her current market is predominently Asian, but she has an increasing number of English clients.

Beautiful makeup, expertly applied. It was a pleasure working with Amreen.

Taken in Studio 3. The dog belongs to a couple who came for a portrait session. How could we resist this cheeky face? And yes, he had his foot in plaster!

This was a “proof of concept” shoot for Rachel Mason (Dare to be different), working alongside Annie Cabasa and model, Kayleigh Jo Daffern. And the concept? It was part of the Pendle 400 year commemoration of the original Pendle Witch Trials. The makeup and styling were an initial test for the girls taking part in the Pendle Imp Fest.

The original suggestion had been to shoot on white, which I wasn’t too keen on. The strong primary colour would offset far better against black. OK, I was going to have a challenge with the hair, but I was sure the effort would be worthwhile. Besides, highlighting the hair would be far easier than trying to stop Kayleigh’s face disappearing into a white backdrop, to be honest.

They were all shot in studio 3 at Studio Sphere.

Well, for a proof of concept, it worked well, and we ended up shooting something like 30 different imps and fairies. All good fun, but rather nerve wracking when we ended up with about twenty in the studio at one go.
